This is a vintage composition baby doll, possibly from the 1930s or 1940s, a common type referred to as a "mama doll".
Dolls made during this era often featured a composition head (a mix of sawdust and glue) and a cloth body.
Manufacturers like Effanbee produced many dolls. This one is.clearly stamped Effanbee on the back of her head.
She has an original dress, slip and panties. Her hair is molded and has few marks. Her brown eyes open and close. There are paint rubs on her arms and hands. I see no crazing of the composition.
She is a lovely doll of this era.
