★ "Tobidase! Machine Hiryu"
A TV anime that aired on Tokyo 12 Channel from October 5, 1977 to March 29, 1978. Jointly produced by Tokyo 12 Channel, Toei (Headquarters TV Business Department), and Tatsunoko Production. A total of 21 episodes.

Ricky, an unknown racer hired by the Misaki Concern, and Okkanabich, a contract racer for the Gapporin Concern. This is a car racing anime that comically depicts the rivalry between the teams they belong to.

This work was planned and produced in response to the so-called supercar boom of the late 1970s.
At the time of its original broadcast, there were four car racing anime being produced and broadcast: "Gekiso! Reuben Kaiser," "Cho Supercar Gattaiger," "Arrow Emblem Grand Prix no Taka," and this work. This work is the only comedy anime among them.
