From my collection. Bought in the 80s…ready for a new owner.

The Monkees were an American pop-rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1966. They were created for the television show of the same name, which aired from 1966 to 1968. The band consisted of Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith, Davy Jones, and Peter Tork, and despite their manufactured origins, they achieved significant commercial success with their music.

This particular EP, "The Monkees EP," features two of their most popular hits, "I'm a Believer" and "Last Train to Clarkesville." "I'm a Believer" was written by Neil Diamond and became one of The Monkees' biggest selling singles, while "Last Train to Clarkesville" was written by Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart. The release date of 1966 places it firmly within the band's peak popularity.
