These two dolls were found together so I am keeping their friendship alive and selling as a pair :)
The first is a handmaid cloth ragdoll from the very early 1900s. She is missing her arms and her original clothing. Her face and hair are hand drawn and she was hand-stitched and stuffed. A wonderful example of early American folk art.
The next is a hard-bodied doll who is in pretty rough shape as you can see from photos. All her parts are there (with the exception of a few fingers) she is just not put together. Her eyes do still open and close. I didn't see any marks or stamps on her. Circa 1920s.
These are unique and interesting items and wonderful pieces of Children's History.
