Released in 1994 by Nintendo Co., Ltd. as a Super Famicom software title, "MOTHER2: Gyiyg's Counterattack." The exhibition "Secrets of MOTHER2," which showcases development materials of "MOTHER2" that had been stored away for 30 years, not only includes numerous previously unreleased materials that could not be exhibited at the venue but also features a roundtable discussion with development staff Koichi Ohyama, Shogo Tohda, and Koji Maruta. Furthermore, it captures the days of "MOTHER2," which Shigesato Itoi described as his "second youth."

The excitement and inspiration of the "Secrets of MOTHER2" exhibition have been preserved in this permanent edition commemorating the 30th anniversary of "MOTHER2," documenting the many creative processes and thoughts that culminated in "MOTHER2."
