British Army Surplus
A messenger bag issued to the ROYAL MAIL in the 1940s.
Since the British postal service was state-owned, this is a government-issued shoulder bag.
Made of two types of heavy cotton.
One main compartment.
The flap is secured with a padlock via a ring and belt,
making it difficult to open easily.
Made by BLACKMAN in 1944.
Deadstock, unused.
There is no significant damage other than age-related deterioration.
The padlock is made by German company ABUS.
There are small scratches, but it comes with two keys and operates smoothly.
