These limited edition ( 7500 )designs were created by renowned artist Yoshinobu Hara and studied under the legendary master Risho Arita. Each large plate measures 9 1/4 inches wide . As of 1983 he had been producing Masters for 40 yrs. The OWL PAIR PLATE IS # 2226 and the SPARROW PLATE IS #447.
The image's are created by etching pure copper and then gilding it with silver and gold. This art form handed down generations to generations for over 800 yrs. Japanese art masters.
