Fiesta Original Turquoise 2 Pint Jug

Vintage Fiestaware original Turquoise 2 pint jug. This piece is original to the Fiesta line, produced from 1937-1959 (Turquoise introduced '38). Frederick Rhead designed it as the first of 5 sizes in this style although HLC decided not to produce the other 4. Formally known as the 2 Pint Jug its often referred to as a milk jug.

Size: 4.25"H x 8.5"W spout to handle, 2 pint capacity.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition with an eggshell glaze. The older Fiesta wares are characteristic of the softer glaze. There is a tiny pin pop size nick on the tip of the spout, noted in the last photo. The glaze on this piece is uneven throughout and milky on top, more common in an earlier piece, which I'm sure it is considering the different stamp and tripod marks. I also noted when I pulled the two out for photos it felt a little thinner than the yellow one also posted today. Displays exceptionally well!
