This is a reproduction of the "GEN2 Fleece," also known as Layer 2, which is part of the five-layer system of the US Army's layering system "ECWCS" (Generation 2). The thick fleece used for the body is the same POLARTEC CLASSIC 300 from the US that is used in the actual item. The elbows and chest, which are prone to friction, are switched to nylon, making this a high-quality jacket that can be worn as a single outerwear piece, even though it is a mid-layer fleece jacket.
