This is fabric left by my mother, and it's old. I believe she intended to make a coat with it.
The front is silk紬 (tsumugi) woven with colorful threads, giving it a luster and making it very beautiful. The back is black wool.
I think it's not a common item.
There is no material indication, so I had it examined by a specialist.
One end has fringe, but the other end is cut.
There are several places where threads are coming out on the front (photos 5-6).
The white spots in photo 2 are where the thin threads from the front are visible.
