New condition. Set of five hand painted fèves from France dated 1996. The characters are Jokey, Vanity, Papa Smurf, Grandpa Smurf, and Cupid Smurf. Fèves are , porcelain or ceramic figurines. They are made to be put inside an Epiphany Cake, or King Cake for the "Epiphany" Holiday. Traditionally, a bean was baked in the cake, the person who finds the bean in his or her slice, is king for the day. In more modern times, the bean has been replaced by a ceramic or porcelain figure. The fèves are relatively small at 1 1/4" or less in size.
As these are hand tooled and painted, there may be some variations and rough spots, but that is how these are meant to be. No chips or cracks.
