This is a Tiger Electronics Deluxe Talkboy portable cassette player and recorder.
It was originally designed as a prop for the 1992 film Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
The retail version was released by Tiger Electronics in 1993 and became a highly popular toy.
This Deluxe model includes a variable-speed voice changer feature, allowing users to alter the pitch and speed of recordings, which was famously used by Kevin McCallister in the film to trick adults.
The device has a built-in microphone and speaker, as well as a jack for the included headphones.
It does play but the tape is slow/distorted.
All items come from a smoke free home.
